Available Now: Propagation Coordinators; Two Available Positions; Edibles and Ornamentals.

50 Hours, $500 Scholarship.

Coordinates and manages the production of plants for Spring 2012 department sales. Works primarily with crop specialists and staff, but also student volunteers and faculty to produce saleable crops in large numbers in specified categories. Coordinates and provides plant material and propagation material and manages space for crop specialists. Works to coordinate and grow Edibles (Annual Vegetables, Perennial Edibles, Herbs and Fruit  Trees) or Ornamentals (CA Natives, Mediterranean, South African, Australian, Salvias, more).

Transplant

 

Qualifications: Plant propagation knowledge must be moderate to high. Coordinator serves as an advisor to crop specialist. Knowledge of propagation methods and time of production is key. Ability to work with volunteers, students and LH classes a must.
